Well, I made this for a Portfolio class. Our assignment was basically to leave the viewer with questions and to work with perspectives. My theme was ignorance. The two girls on the ceiling are having fun where the girl walking normally in the foreground doesn't notice and continues walking as if nothing weird is occurring. She is ignorant of their happiness.

I hoped that helped clear it up, if not just send another question my way. I'll try to do better.

Hmm, interesting concept and I think you depicted it very nicely. I absolutely love the shading though (I assume this is done on brown paper with just black and white charcoal, right?), it's all very striking, yet at the same time, quite simple. Great work :D
